One
of our purposes for journaling our trip is so that we can share it
with Eliana someday. With that in mind, we wanted to invite all of
our readers to chime in. We'd appreciate any of your comments,
encouragement, well-wishes, prayers, blessings, etc. that you would
like to leave for us or Eliana to read in the future. Just post in
the comments section below. Thanks.

| We haven't met you in person yet, but we love you so much already. Cameron and Zachary are really looking forward to meeting their "very own baby sister" - there is so much love waiting for you when you get HOME. Just be prepared to love John Deere tractors!! Love, Grandma (and Grandpa) |

Princess Eliana, You are such a blessing. Your life will no longer be the same. Your parents will be there to catch you if you fall, kiss your boo boo's away, kiss you goodnight, watch all of your little star performances, run when you call, mend your heart when it gets broken, see you through ups and downs, see you off to an education, give your hand in marriage, love your children, and never never stop loving you. Eliana God has answered your prayers and mommy and daddy's prayers too!!! Welcome home, I can't wait to meet you! |

Sally, Someday when you and Micah are old enough to understand, we’ll have to sit down and have a little pow-wow and tell you everything your parents went through to get you…..how ridiculous your mothers were while they waited for you…..what pillars of spiritual fortitude and patience your fathers were……the crazy schemes your mamas thought up to get you home sooner (most of which were not acted upon, due to the fact that the USCIS now has our fingerprints on file)….the things your daddies did to keep your mommies happy in “labor” and “delivery”….. and the fact that both your mamas and daddies loved you with an everlasting love before they even set eyes on you. Someday, I hope you have a whole brood of your own, so that you can know exactly how we felt. PS - I'll tell you the story behind the name "Sally" too.

Eliana, You are loved. You are loved by so, so many. You have been loved by your Heavenly Father from before the foundations of the Earth. You have been loved by birth parents who chose to give you life and the opportunity for a better and more beautiful future. You have been loved by your Mommy & Daddy as they worked and waited and prayed and hoped - and now as they have you in their arms. You have been loved by your brothers, Grandparents, and extended family for so long as they have also prayed and waited and watched. You have been loved by friends far and near, as so many gave so much to bring you home, and as so, so many prayed and prayed and prayed for you. It is truely a gift to be loved so much. As you come to know just how special that is - may it bring you to trust in God's everlasting and perfect love!!! |

Eliana (The Lord has Answered Me), In one of his recent postings, your Daddy referred to you as a "daughter of China". What a beautiful way to honor your Chinese heritage. As you come to your new home you will now also be known as a daughter of Nathan & Lisa Smith. They have labored for you and carried you with love in their hearts during this paper pregnancy. You also will become a daughter of Bryan, Ohio. We look forward to welcoming you into our community & hope we can learn from your parent's experiences in China to be an even better community. We also welcome you into our church family and take seriously our responsibility to support your family as they train you in the instruction of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that some day you will be called a Daughter of God. As His daughter you will begin to know how He has guided each moment of your life & has given you a heritage of grace. |

Eliana, It has been a blessing learning about you and your life in China. Even more of a blessing is giving you a hug and welcoming you into our family! Your cousin Connor is just as excited that you are coming home soon. He will even tell you that your Mommy and Daddy have been in China for 17 days! Andy and G can't wait to teach you all the things you need to know to be in the Skiles family. First lesson to learn, eat every 2 hours! We love you, but God loves you even more. |

Dear Little Princess - We are all so anxious to meet you and for you to join our family. Your mom and dad have done such a wonderful job of journaling their experiences - it has been a wonderful trip for all of us and I'm sure it will be a wonderful treasure for you in the years to come. Not only are they bringing home a new little princess to join the family but they have shared all their excitement of their journey to find you with all of us. God bless you and your new family and welcome home. |

| What a joy to have prayed for you when only the Lord knew who you were. What a joy to know that He knew the plans He had for you long before we knew. He has placed you into a wonderful family--one overflowing with love, talent, compassion and a sense of humor. You are indeed blessed. And it is easy to see that you are going to fit in perfectly. The story is only beginning and as the Lord unfolds each chapter, we will all await to see what is in store. We are blessed abundantly to haven taken a part of the journey with you. Welcome home, Eliana--indeed you are the perfect answer that God designed just at the right time. |
