By some miracle, I was able to get all three kids dressed
and fed (Cheerios in the van DOES count as breakfast) and off to Eliana’s first
checkup with our family doctor. One thing I have discovered about the Princess
is that she likes her Fan Club. Who cares if she’s skipped her nap or hasn’t
been fed – there are people to greet!
Receptionists! Patients! Nurses! Doctors! And she eats it all right up.
Speaking of eating it all up, our little tiny peanut has
gained two and a half pounds in two and a half weeks. Have I mentioned
that it is the Year of the Pig?? Even I, the Mama who is with her every second
of the day, have noticed the change. The belly is bigger, thighs thicker, chest
chunkier. And to quote Nathan with one of his favorite lines: “She has more
Chins than a Tokyo phone book.”
We have Aunt Michele and clan to thank for this outfit,
which showcases the latest growth spurt:

We’ll just add the posting of this picture to Eliana’s
future counseling sessions. She may very well wonder what strange twist of fate
landed her in this oddball family. Hope she has a good sense of humor!
***Note to the Attachment Police: Yes, I recognize that our darling might be displaying "indiscriminate affection" and "hoarding", so you don't need to mention that. [Smile]
