Some days—like Mother’s Day—where the King of the House goes
to the trouble of reheating leftovers for lunch, I actually have a minute to
kick back and see my children for the treasures they really are. They are the ones who got me into this
motherhood business anyway. Sure, they’ve taken over my home (car, life) but
they’ve also invaded my heart. You can’t find a prouder mama around, and this
Mother’s Day I know something else to be true: It doesn’t matter whether their
belly button was once attached to me or not—I love them all the same.
“You fill my cup until it overflows” (Psalm 23:5). Enjoy the
